backloading

What is backloading?

Backloading is one of the most cost effective ways to complete a move for both the Removalist company and also the customer.

Both the customer and the Removalist company worth alongside each other’s date’s to move which benefits both party’s.

This may allow the Removalist company to create a move that coincides with the opposite direction.

Therefore making the move cheaper for the customer plus the Removalist company has a return trip booked in.

What do I have to do to qualify?

To qualify or be appealing to a Removalist company, you as a customer will need to be flexible with your dates.

Basically the Removalist company may provide you with a quotation based on a “backload”.

This will allow the company time to organize a house move in the opposite direction.

This also works for small moves as the Removalist company could travelling through your desired pickup or delivery address.

Generally the Removalist company will ask for a details list of what you require to be moved.

This is so they can calculate how much space in their truck they will require to use for your move.

After they have booked you in they generally are able to lock in a date/estimated time.

If the Removalist company is only able to provide you with a FIXED price and not a backload,

usually the case is they were unable to obtain a backload or generally they may not service the area.

This is generally the more expensive option as your move would be absorbing all of the costs involved to complete the move.

A customer that usually accepts a fixed price not the backload generally can only work on a certain date/time without any flexibility

to help the Removalist coincide with a backload option.
